The images on the right show the 'viewfinder image'. The parallelism to be adjusted using the pan/tilt head is achieved when the mirror is reflected multiple times in the centre.

The Rencay mirror allignment system for digital cameras works on exactly the same basic principle as the mirror allignment system for the DiRECT camera system.

Here, the camera mirror is screwed onto the front of the lens. The standard size is a 77 mm filter thread. Adapter rings are available for other diameters.

Focusing is carried out using the camera's live view. It is recommended that you adjust the focus manually.

The rectangular reference mirror is placed on the work table – directly beneath the camera mirror.

A precision tilt head is recommended for aligning the mirrors in parallel. The OpenVector repro system comes with an integrated pan/tilt head as standard.
