The laser lines are used to position and align the originals. To do this, the original is first positioned optimally in relation to the camera, and then the laser lines are adjusted so that further originals can be easily repositioned. They thus serve as rulers.
The laser lines can be switched on or off as required. They can remain switched on whilst the image is being captured, if they do not come into contact with the original.
The repro column's extension arm is fitted with a pan/tilt mechanism. The star-shaped handle (1) allows the tilt to be precisely adjusted forwards and backwards, whilst the turn screw (2) controls rotation to the left and right. We recommend using the Rencay quick-release adapter. You can find the quick-release adapter under 'Repro Products'.
This allows the camera to be precisely aligned parallel to the table. A mirror allignment tool is used to assist with this. With Rencay camera systems, the mirror allignmant tool is included as standard. For digital cameras, there is a system consisting of a camera mirror, which is screwed onto the lens, and a document mirror, which is placed on the table. You can find this mirror allignmant tool under 'Repro Products'.
The illustration also shows the cable guidance. The cable is fed through the tube to the end of the boom and inserted into the energy chain. This makes 'cable clutter' and damaged connection cables a thing of the past.
